Howard Merrell wins sixteen Addys

The big leader at this years Addy foe was Raleigh promotion group Howard, Merrell Partners.

Howard Merrell took home 8 bullion awards and sixteen altogether in this years competition. That was some-more than any one else -- but only barely.

Craig Jackson Partners of Chapel Hill snared fifteen awards. Three of the awards were gold.

This years competition, sponsored by the Raleigh-Durham section of the American Advertising Federation, was hold last week at the Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh. A sum of 117 gold, china and bronze awards were handed out, as well as a contingent of judges" preference awards and a "Best of Show" award.

Durham ad group The Republik won "Best of Show" endowment for a leaflet it did for customer Wellcraft Boats.That was one of twelve Addys won by The Republik.

Other big winners were Raleighs Capstrat, that won 10 Addys, and Ogilvy in Durham, that prisoner 8 prizes.

A sum of 52 organizations submitted 405 entries.
