A MAN hurled a potion bottle at a bartender since he thought he had been staring at him, a justice has heard. Edinburgh Sheriff Court was told currently Mark Hay, 33, had been on a celebration bender when he launched the conflict on Ross McLennan who was operative at Carters Bar in Morrison Street.Mr McLennan ducked and the bottle crushed in to a intoxicating beverage optic.ADVERTISEMENTFiscal entrust Faith Currie pronounced at around 12:45am Hay had left in to the club but left when he was told to stop being assertive differently he would not be served any some-more drink.The justice listened Hay returned around half an hour after and launched his attack.Ms Currie said: "He had walked in with a bottle and was about 8ft from the club when he launched the bottle at Mr McLennan who ducked and it crushed the intoxicating beverage optic."The mercantile combined the repairs caused was around �120.Hay, of Orwell Terrace, Edinburgh, certified assaulting Mr McLennan and throwing a bottle at him at Carters Bar on 8 Aug last year.Defence representative Dave Allan said: "This was utterly unsuitable inebriated behaviour. He had been on a bender and took the perspective the bartender had been staring at him."Sheriff Derrick McIntyre paid in instalments judgment for credentials reports until subsequent month and warned Hay he would have to reimburse the bar. Hay is on bail in the meantime.
