Cary man hold in fibre of Raleigh armed robberies

A Cary man is in the Wake County Jail currently on $1.5 million down payment after being charged in 6 armed robberies in Raleigh last year, according to justice records.

Ruben Massenburg, 31, of 1332 Wicklow Court, Apt. R, Cary, was arrested Wednesday and charged with armed spoliation and swindling to dedicate robbery, justice annals said.

The robberies, majority of them at restaurants and preference stores, occurred in between Sept. 2 and Nov. twelve last year.

Court annals pronounced Massenburg in jeopardy his victims with a handgun, afterwards took cash. In one robbery, Massenburg took generic-label cigars, annals said.

According to documents:

In the initial robbery, that occurred at the Texaco Food Mart, 2618 Lake Wheeler Road, on Sept. 2, $674.58 was taken. On Sept. 4, $300 was taken from the Thai House restaurant, 1408 Hardimont Road. On Sept. 5, $96 and $10 in general cigars were taken from Kangaroo store No. 320, 3289 Avent Ferry Road. On Sept. 9, $250 was taken from Champions Pizza and Wings, 2233 Avent Ferry Road, No. 101, and $50 was taken from a CVS store, no residence given. On Nov. 12, $307.69 was taken from Priscilla McCalls, no residence given.
