ThePhiladelphia&Phillies" fuzzygreen mascot Phillie Phanaticreceived a NASA makeover&this week, interjection to the inventive efforts of aspace&enthusiast.
Professionallytrained artist Cliff Lentz, who for years has served as&theunofficial NASA compare for a localPhiladelphia&sportsradio&morning show, was comparison with nineteen otherartists to&decorate twenty sixfoot tall statues of the&baseballteams mascot&as part&of their Phanatic&AroundTown&public art program.
The artists were given a month to adorn their fiberglass Phanaticand&an aluminum home plateshaped base. For Lentz, the thesis forhis&statue, dubbed P. Phanatic Star Voyager was obvious.
Since I live in the Philadelphia area and, as you know, I"m ahuge&space fan, I longed for to have something of a matter aboutspaceflight,&wrote Lentz in an email to&collect,where hes been purebred as&a part of given 2002.
